Patty Hawley Pennycook
Patty joined the Napa Valley Harmonizers in 2011 as a performance coach, became Associate Director in 2012, and finally Front Line Director in 2013. She is taking Harmonizers to a new level of excellence!
Patty was raised as a "Barbershop brat" in Kentucky. Her father, Charlie Hawley was a member of the 7-time International men’s chorus champions, The Louisville Thoroughbreds. Patty grew up around legendary quartets like Bluegrass Student Union, Second Edition, Interstate Rivals, Revival, The Harrington Brothers, Michigan Jake and Gas House Gang. A Sweet Adeline (female Barbershop singers) Mom introduced Patty to her son David Pennycook whom she married. Patty, Dave and daughter Carly and Patty live in Napa.
Patty joined Sweet Adelines women's chorus (Petaluma) in the early 80’s, which became the award-winning Pacific Empire Chorus. Patty and her women's quartet Swinglish Mix began singing together in 1995. They performed all over the United States, Canada, Sweden, and New Zealand for over a decade, winning the International Quartet competition in 2003. For more info, see www.swinglishmix.com.
For the past decade Patty has served as President and other key roles for the Coronet Club, an elite group of International a capella quartet champions. She has sung in the Derby City Chorus, Pride of Kentucky Chorus, Verdugo Hills Chorus in L.A., and Pacific Empire Chorus in Sonoma County.
She says " I enjoy the love and thrill of teaching and performing barbershop music."

The Harmonizers all Men's Chorus has entertained Napans for almost 60 years. We're a branch of the international Barbershop Harmony Society (BHS). We strive to help each other become better musicians, friends to each other, do good in the community...and have fun!
We're proud to continue the tradition of Barbershop four-part harmony. Much of our repertoire is rooted in classics of past years, the "old songs" we enjoy bringing to audiences. We have embraced new songs sby artists Randy Newman and The Beatles.
We encourage guys to come visit us at our Guest Nights and check us out! We're all ages and backgrounds but we all love to sing and entertain. We perform for private parties, weddings, business affairs, birthday parties and most holidays. We encourage music education for a lifetime of music appreciation
